Le Guanahani Develops Young Ambassadors Program

Up-and-coming advisors build awareness timed to 30th anniversary

ST. BARTH, FRENCH WEST INDIES – Le Guanahani, the iconic five-star Caribbean resort on the island of St. Barth, developed a year-long Ambassador Program in 2016 to cultivate support from young up-and-coming travel advisors as part of its 30th anniversary.

This year marks the 30th anniversary and the completion of a four-year, $40 million resort-wide renovation and rebranding. As part of the refresh, the Ambassador Program engages a millennial audience and utilizes social media to reach a wider fan base.

Le Guanahani secured 30 young Ambassadors in North America, three in Brazil and two in France. The Ambassadors were nominated by their agency owners, and the well-respected partners include Indagare, Elite Travel, JetSet Travel and more.

“The Ambassador Program allows us to support and reward the travel agency partners who have been key in establishing Le Guanahani as one of the world’s leading resorts,” said Martein van Wagenberg, managing director of Le Guanahani. “These young and influential agents will become lifelong advocates and help keep Le Guanahani viable and vibrant.”

Le Guanahani created a benefits program to engage Ambassadors throughout the year which includes complimentary resort visits and an exclusive first look at resort news. The ambassadors are using social media and tapping in to their extensive networks to help raise awareness and encourage visits.

Nestled on a private 18-acre peninsula between Marigot Bay and Grand Cul-de-Sac on the island of St. Barth, Le Guanahani offers access to two pristine white-sand beaches where guests are invited to relax in the sun or indulge in water-based sports. The 67 multi-colored guest cottages, including 36 suites, are decorated in a West Indies style that blends seamlessly with the surrounding tropical landscape of hibiscus and coconut trees. All rooms and suites offer private terraces, and many feature private pools. The hotel’s signature restaurants, Indigo and Bartolomeo, delight with refined Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. Hidden amongst the lush vegetation, the Spa by Clarins comes complete with rejuvenating signature treatments and a salon by Frédéric Fekkai. leguanahani.com
